Appointment ritual calendar Monfalcone (along with other milestones such as the carnival and wine festival), the fair of St. Nicholas is one of the most loved by the people Bisiach.
childhood we look for hope the fateful December 5, the day on which the center, more and more often snubbed by the mass and sadly left bare and empty, is filled with colorful stalls and displays a turbulent stream of people. Among the stalls of vendors you can find a bit 'of everything from clothes to cheese, from toys to the popular candy.
Forse, crescendo ed allargando i propri orizzonti, pure l’evento fiera di per itself to our eyes and inflation: you get to date with Santa Caterina already in Udine, Gorizia Sant'Andrea (not to mention Cervignano and Romans) behind ... but once the true and only fair that we went was St. Nicholas.
But this day continues to fulfill its role as a union of the local people. E 'classic encounter between the stalls with friends who do not see a life, return, talk to people reported missing. I would say that this has become just the beauty of the fair, the spirit of aggregation that you can recreate for a day.
We see today a lot of rain in the name of St. Nicholas, how many old faces I can recognize the narrow corridors teem with people among the booths and the other (and we must also fight to avoid being blinded by the tips of umbrellas!).
